Rob Carter is the Executive Vice President of FedEx Information Services and Chief Information Officer of FedEx. He is one of five members of the FedEx Executive Committee, which implements the corporation’s business strategies. He is also Co-President and Co-CEO of FedEx Services, which provides sales, marketing, information technology, communications, customer service, technical support, and more to customers of major FedEx business units. 

Carter earned his bachelor’s degree in computer and information science from the University of Florida and his master’s degree from the University of South Florida. He now has 35 years of systems development and implementation experience and is in charge of setting the direction for different FedEx technologies. 

Carter has received many awards, including Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business, Fortune magazine’s Executive Dream Team, and Information Week’s Chief of the Year Award. He has also been inducted into the publication’s CIO Hall of Fame and is a member of the boards of directors for New York Life Insurance Company and Pilot Travel Centers LLC.
